Three women smiling. AAUW. You deserve fair pay.

The Women’s Place collaborated with Zora’s House WŌC Wealth Builders program to host a negotiation workshop, entitled “Know Your Value” on September 28. Attendees received tools and exercises to successfully negotiate salary and benefits packages outlined in the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Work Smart & Start Smart program.

Negotiation is a leadership strategy that allows us to advocate for ourselves, overcome resistance and lead progress towards change. The Women’s Place offers the Work Smart salary negotiation program that focuses on providing guiding principles for negotiating financial compensation, boundaries, and benefits. This session will help attendees to know their value by first naming their impact and then negotiating for fair compensation. Whether you’re a student, early career professional, seasoned leader, or business owner, learn how to maximize your earning potential by asking for pay and working conditions you need to thrive.
