Jennifer Beard named director of The Women’s Place
Interim Provost Bruce McPheron and Vice Provost Sharon Davies have named Jennifer A. Beard director of The Women's Place (TWP), Ohio State's women's policy office and agent of culture change. Since July 2015, Jennifer has served as interim director and previously served as TWP's assistant director. Throughout this time, she played an integral role in TWP's strategic planning and policy analysis, seeking to transform the culture and remove institutional barriers for women at Ohio State.
Before coming to Ohio State, Jennifer served as an administrator and as a convener of strategic partnerships in leadership positions with government organizations, where she cultivated her acumen for leading change across large institutions.
As a licensed social worker, Jennifer's career has involved serving women and children and has included clinical research, health promotions, and policy analysis. Throughout her career, she has been a staunch advocate for women.
