Members of the PPLI 2023-24 cohort celebrate their graduation at the Faculty Club.

Twenty-three Ohio State University faculty graduated from the President and Provost's Leadership Institute (PPLI) in December 2024. The 2023-24 cohort is comprised of faculty members who represent eight colleges and the libraries. The three-semester institute facilitated by The Women's Place focuses on long-term faculty leadership development, preparing them for administrative positions. Open to tenure-track and clinical faculty at the rank of associate or full professor, the program's goal is to create a pipeline of faculty leaders from backgrounds underrepresented in administration.

Having explored the following topics, the 2023-24 cohort graduates are ready to put their advanced leadership skills into practice:

  • Strategic Planning with Data & Metrics
  • Principles and Practices of Fiscal Decision-Making
  • Managing Employees and Crucial Conversations
  • Career Mapping
  • Communications Skills for Leaders
  • Leading Inclusive Departments and Teams
  • Identifying Your Leadership Style with DiSC
  • The University and Its Publics
