Brittney Seals

Academic Program Specialist
She/her

Brittney joined The Women’s Place office as an academic program services specialist (program coordinator) in June 2023. Her role in TWP entails coordinating logistics and content for programming and events. She also contributes to communications.

She previously was an academic advisor in the Department of Economics at Ohio State for three years, supporting students, especially first-generation scholars, from diverse backgrounds with impactful programming. Driven by a deep passion for activism and advocating for marginalized communities, Brittney's commitment to social justice began to take shape during her time as a first-generation student at John Carroll University (JCU). As a member of the Black Student Union, she collaborated closely with the university's president, actively shaping policies and advocating for structural changes to foster inclusivity and support multicultural students. This experience inspired her to pursue a MEd in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Ohio University, following the completion of her BA in Communications at JCU.
