The 15th Annual Ballam Women’s Symposium theme is “Women Leading Women” with a focus on the role we as professional women have in being workplace allies for each other. Symposium speakers will address the challenges and solutions women experience as they seek to educate, energize and empower other women.
Sponsored by the Association of Staff and Faculty Women of Ohio State University (ASFW), the Symposium will provide an opportunity for you to ask questions, build confidence, and create a road map to further your own vision and empower other women.
Our keynote speaker is Dr. Wendy Smooth, Ohio State’s associate dean for diversity, equity and inclusion, College of Arts and Sciences. In her role as dean, Dr. Smooth oversees the coordination, promotion and advising on diversity and inclusion across the College of Arts and Sciences. The keynote topic is Defining & Maximizing Your Sphere of Influence: Building More Inclusive Work Spaces.
