Size of Council
- 27
members appointed by the President for staggered terms
no longer than 3 years
- Recommendations for members come through an open nominations process
- 5 of the 27 members are external to OSU
- 2 members will be directly linked to the Central Administration - The
President will appoint a member for the Planning Cabinet and the
Provost will appoint a member from the Coordinating Council.
Qualifications
of Council members
- Nominees will be
selected to represent as much diversity as possible, while
not selecting individuals to represent
a particular group
- Faculty, staff and student nominees will selected from regional and
main campus
- Nominees will be selected who will be able to view issues impacting
women from both a personal, campus wide perspective and/or national
perspective.
- Nominees should be able to actively participate in the work of the
Council.
Process and timeline for decision-making
- Nominations
are accepted through The Women's Place during the nomination
process.
- Nominations should be made on line or paper copies can be obtained
at TWP
- Individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by others
- The President will appoint new members to the Council at the beginning
of Fall quarter annually or as needed.
